Holding fast to some simple fashion rules will make the road to adulthood a little smoother by doing away with some issues that teenagers have with regards to fashion. Tip #1: Be Yourself

In order to boost your confidence in wearing your clothes you must be yourself. Do not let negative things come into your mind. Be enthusiastic and be optimistic. Just ignore things and have fun on what you are wearing. Find clothes that you feel comfortable in.

If you have clothes that you don’t wear much because it’s a little bit ugly to look at then here is a solution for you. Learn to mix and match. Colors should match, a tee complimenting or maybe contrasting beautifully with the color of the pants. Patterns should not mix, a patterned shirts should be matched with plain pants and stripes and checks don‘t mix. Shoes and belt should also match.

Tip #3: Be neat and clean

A big turn – off is jeans that is too low and your underpants is showing (for boys) and or a shirt that is crumpled. Make sure that your clothes are wrinkle free every time you step out the door.

Tip #4: Dress Correctly

You must dress correctly in every occasion and affairs. A tee and jeans may be appropriate for school, but it’s not necessary in churches or any formal events. And don’t be too overdressed in going to an event. Make sure you belong to the occasion.

Falling into something just because it’s “The cool thing to do” doesn’t mean its right for you. This tip is again going back to #1, don’t be a “nakikisabay sa uso” just be yourself and never lose track of who you really are.

The shirt is mightier than the gun. Fashion can get you popularity, admiration, and attraction from other people, but remember not to judge on clothes alone. Eventually you’ll find someone who admires your clothing, copycats aren’t uncommon! Take this as a high compliment. Above all, enjoy yourself!
